Until now, Zen has only known hiding. He lives with his secret family of renegade droids in the silent ruins of a forgotten world. This Earth is now a wasteland of Mankind's ruin and regret. Their animal and human forms are the only remembrance of the Earth that once was. Since the death of their human father and creator, Zen, now the reluctant leader, wishes only to keep them safe.
But then the ruthless Midion army attacks, seeking to erase all traces of mankind and the before time to uphold their belief in divine beginnings. Their peace shattered, Zen’s tiny sister Autom is taken. Driven by love and desperation, Zen leaves the shadows and journeys to the haunted lands of Jara to rescue Autom. There, he finds mechanical allies, green spirits, and a hidden power within, unlocked by human song.
